NSCA Shotgun Shooting Lessons

Free for Beginner/Novice Shooters

July 24-26, 2015

Clayton Rue, NSCA Level III Instructor, will be conducting a NSCA Level I instructor certification course at Highland Hideaway Hunting July 24-26, 2015.   We will need BEGINNER / NOVICE sporting clays shooters to act as students for the new Level I instructor candidates to teach.  We will need 5 – 20 students for each session and the cost of the lessons is FREE! You pay only for targets shot.  If you are interested in receiving this free instruction, please sign up for one or more of the following time slots:

AVAILABLE DATES

  • July 24 (Saturday) – 1:00 pm – 3:30 pm
  • July 25 (Sunday) – 9:00 am – 11:30 am
  • July 26 (Sunday) – 1:00 pm – 3:30 pm

Novice and beginning shooters are highly preferred.  The NSCA Level I course teaches new instructors how to teach novice shotgun shooters. All students must pre-register in advance to reserve a space.

Johnson County Soil & Water Conservation District Sporting Clay Fundraiser

The Johnson County Soil & Water Conservation District Sporting Clay Fundraiser will be held at Highland Hideaway Hunting on Saturday, June 13th, from 9am to 1pm. All proceeds will go towards conservation education and outreach efforts in Johnson County. All levels of experience are welcome!

REGISTRATION

  • Early bird registration: $115
  • After June 1st: $125
  • Check-in begins at 9am, shoot starts at 10am, lunch will be at noon. Register online at www.jcswcd.org .

Registration fee includes:

  • 100 target sporting clay round
  • 4 boxes of shells
  • Lunch

WHAT TO BRING

  • Eyewear and hearing protection
  • Shotgun
  • Appropriate clothing for being outside

Golf Cart, 4-wheeler or other ATV’s are allowed on the course.

50 Target Sporting Clays Shoot March 1

March Sporting Clays Shoot

Sporting ClaysWe will be having a 50 target sporting clays shoot to help raise some funds for our local Highland Shooting Sports Team.  Proceeds from this event will help support the team by providing tournament fees, shells, targets, etc.

Come out on March 1 to enjoy the first shoot of the year!

  • Event starts at 10 and will end at 3:00pm
  • 50 target round $25
  • Multiple rounds can be shot
  • Lunch from 12:00-1:00 = $6
  • Proceeds go to the Highland Shooting Sports Team
