2024 – 2025 Hunting Season Rates

 

Full Day Hunt – $375.00 per person

If you are looking for a great way to get away and enjoy a wonderful Iowa pheasant hunting experience, this is for you. This is a 5 bird limit hunt, and of course additional birds can be added or harvested at a our extra bird rates.  8am -4:30pm with a lunch break at noon.

 

Half-day hunts

1-2 hunters half day — $230.00 per person

3 or more hunters —     $210.00 per person

Either an AM or PM outing (8am-noon or 12:30-4:30pm)  3-bird limit hunt per person, additional birds can be added or harvested at a our extra bird rates.

 

Highland Hunting Guide Service

  • Half Day Hunt $160.00  max group size of 5
  • Full Day Hunt  $250.00 max group size of 5
  • Any additional walkers/hunters over 5 will be $40 per person.  Additional hunters over the max must be approved during the booking.
  • Birds will be cleaned by the guides on all guided hunts, cleaning & packing fees are found in our Additional Amenities listing below.

 

  • Guide/Dogs gratuity
    Average: Half-Day Hunt outing $20-$25/ hunter — Full Day Hunt outing $30-$35/hunter.  A minimum of a $50 gratuity is common on hunts of 2 or less people, above average gratuities are very common on all hunts.

 

Day Hunt Details 

  • A non-refundable 25% deposit is required when booking a hunt
  • At the time of the booking you will be asked for your total number of hunters that you plan to have.  This is so we can best prepare for your group allowing for the best field option and bird numbers.  As long as we are notified at a minimum of 24hrs before your hunt we can adjust.  However if there was no communication prior to your hunt and less hunters show than what was booked there will be a charge of %75 of the hunt value per hunter that was booked.

 

  • Lunch is not included in the price of our Half & Full Day Hunts.  However we do offer many great lunch options, out staff will always ask at the time of the booking if you are interested in this option.

 

  • We do not charge any daily fees for anyone 15 or younger, however extra birds harvested will be charged (A minimum of 1 paid hunt either half or full is required per youth).

 

  • Group & Custom Rates are available to help better fit your needs when you are booking multiple days of hunting and multiple days of lodging. A minimum of two days of hunting and lodging is required to receive a group or custom rate. Please contact us for more information!
  • Additional birds may be harvested over the daily limit with a charge of $30.00 for each pheasant and $15.00 for each chukar.

  • Additional Birds $30.00 per pheasant  — $15.00 per Chukar
  • Bird Cleaning:  $4/bird
  • Lunch: $12.00 – $20.00 (Pricing Respective to Menu)
  • Breakfast: $12-$20 (Pricing Respective to Menu)

  • Hunt Rate Lodging $70.00/night

 

Licenses & Payment

  • Iowa DNR licenses are available at our Lodge (you must also purchase a habitat stamp)
